The Research Vessel BERING EXPLORER was designed and built for marine research.
It is an all steel vessel with a shallow draft and an ice strengthened hull, a heliport, large
walk in refrigerated unit, a wide variety of electrical power utilities, mechanicals able to
provide submersible craft support and precision towing. The Bering Explorer has
comfortable quarters for 25 persons, an industrial kitchen, large galley, laundry facilities,
office space and a large lounge. Operations are in compliance with USCG specifications.
